The following are the most popular Roots blowers sold individually or in packages. Additional models are available. 

Roots Universal-RAI^® Series

Intended to permit easy installation into any system, the ROOTS Universal-RAI (URAI) series delivers performance and convenience. The URAI series combines detachable feet, to allow horizontal or vertical installation, and dynamically balanced impellers, center-timed to permit rotation in either direction.

The standard URAI blower offers vacuums to 16" Hg (542 mbar), pressures to 
15 psi (1034 mbar), with flows from 2 to 2370 cfm (3.4 to 4026 m³/hr). 

The URAI-J^TM blower offers vacuums to 15" Hg (1034 mbar), pressures to 15 psi (1034 mbar), with flows from 50 to 600 cfm (85 to 1020 m³/hr).

URAI-J units feature the patented WHISPAIR^TM jet design. These blowers operate with up to 40% less pressure pulsation than conventional blowers due to the equalizing effect of the WHISPAIR design.

The URAI-G^TM units are equipped with seals for gas service.

ROOTS RAM^TM Series

The RAM series of blowers are heavy-duty machines designed with integral-shaft, involute profile impellers. The RAM series incorporates thrust control, with splash oil lubrication at both ends of the blower. All frame sizes are equipped with rugged detachable steel mounting feet to permit in-field adaptability to either vertical or horizontal installation requirements. All RAM units may operate under either vacuum or pressure applications with no equipment modification.

Standard RAM units offer pressures to 18 psig (1240 mbar) and vacuums to 16" Hg (542 mbar). Flows from 100 to 3500 cfm (170 to 6000 m³/hr).

RAM-J equipment features the exclusive ROOTS WHISPAIR^TM jet. These blowers operate with up to 40% less pressure pulsation than conventional blowers due to the equalizing effect of the WHISPAIR design. RAM-J machines deliver pressures to 18 psig (1240 mbar) and vacuums to 16" (542 mbar) with flows from 100 to 3500 cfm (170 to 6000 m³/hr).

ROOTS RCS and RCS-J Series

ROOTS RCS and RCS-J blowers are heavy-duty units designed with integral-shaft ductile iron impellers with involute profile. The headplates, gear cover, drive end cover and rigid, one-piece casing are grey iron. Carburized and ground alloy steel spur timing gears are taper mounted on the shafts, secured with a locknut. Cylindrical roller bearings are used.

ROOTS RCS blowers operate under pressures to 18 psig (1240 mbar), vacuums to 16" Hg (542 mbar), and flows from 700 to 5400 cfm (1200 to 9200 m3/hr).

RCS-J units feature the patented WHISPAIR® jet design. These blowers operate with up to 40 % less pressure pulsation than conventional blowers due to the equalizing effect of the WHISPAIR design. The RCS-J blower offers vacuums to 16" Hg (542 mbar), pressures to 18 psi (1240 mbar), with flows from 700 to 6300 cfm (1200 to 10,700 m3/hr).

EasyAir^TM8000

The Dresser ROOTS EasyAir8000 Factory Blower Package System is a skid-mounted noise abatement enclosure containing a pre-assembled, skid-mounted blower unit. All piping, valves and instrumentation are in place. It is produced for vacuum or pressure applications, enabling simple, on-site installation.
