Intake Silencers

Intake silencers effectively reduce the noise and destructive low frequency pulsations that can be detrimental to surrounding equipment and personnel, as well as neighbors. Blower speed plays an important part in the correct selection of a silencer. For slow speed blowers, the chamber type silencer performs best on all sizes. For applications not requiring this degree of silencing on small size blowers, the absorption type silencer has been used successfully for many years. For high-speed blowers (i.e., blowers with operating speeds above the transition speed) a chamber absorption type silencer is required.

Discharge Silencers

Discharge silencers are essential to good system performance on all rotary blower systems. Blower speed dictates the model used. When the blower speed is below the transition speed the multi-chamber type is recommended to properly treat the noise emitted from the blower discharge. When the blower speed is above the transition speed, the intensity of the high frequencies is increased, requiring a modified design incorporating acoustic materials to absorb these frequencies. Normally acceptable discharge silencer pressure drop is in the range of 3 to 12 inches of water.

Air Intake Filter and Filter Silencers

The Series F64 Air Intake Filter and Filter Silencer is designed to mount directly on the inlet of an engine, blower or compressor. It will provide 16dB to 20dB noise reduction and the paper filter media has an efficiency of 99% on 1 micron particles. We are your source for Stoddard replacement filter elements.

Inline Air Filters

The Series F65 Inline Air Filter is designed to mount directly in the air piping system for engines, blowers or compressors. The filter element, which is fabricated from pleated paper media, has an efficiency of 99% on 1 micron particles and larger. The F65V is used for vacuum.
